Mexican Hat produces tall upright stems of daisy-like mahogany red flowers with yellow edges that resemble a small sombrero in shape.
Low maintenance once established, tolerant of dry and poor soil conditions. Slow to germinate – germination should begin to take place between 21-42 days.
Great for cut flowers, garden beds, borders, meadow style mass plantings and attracting bees, butterflies and beneficial insects to the garden.
The flowers can also be used to produce a natural red dye.
