Description
Passionfruit Banana is hardy grower that thrives in temperate regions. Attractive bright pink flowers from late spring followed by the soft-skinned elongated yellow sweet fruit.
They grow on evergreen climbing vines that can reach 6 to 7 meters in length. and one single vine can produce 150 to 300 fruits per year.
The pulp is tangy and tart tasting similar to the common purple passionfruit but has slightly lower acidity.
Banana passionfruit is a vigorous plant, maturing and bearing fruit in just one year.
