Description
Dahlia Cactus Flower Mix is a popular variety with florists and flower arrangers as it produces plentiful amounts of large curvaceous double and semi-double flowers with distinctive spiky petals.
A tall dahlia that showcases an array of colours and bi-colours. The attractive quilled and twisted petals creating a excellent display in the garden, bouquet or vase.
Their star-shaped flower form means they stand up well to inclement weather, because they’re less prone to being weighed down by heavy rain, or blown about by wind, than other dahlia types although, because of their height, staking can be beneficial.
PLEASE NOTE: These perennials can be sensitive to frost, so if they are not grown in a warm climate it is best to dig the tubers up for storage or to grow them as annuals.
When growing Dahlias from seed do not disturb plant for two years before harvesting tubers. If you live in a cold climate start them off in pots so tubers can be protected in winter.
