As the name suggests, the Cucumber National Pickler is a great pickling variety that has good disease resistance and is heavy yielding.
With thin skin and smaller green fruit, this is the perfect variety to try your hand at pickling.
This most widely used pickling cucumber with plants can reaching up to 1 m climbing on trellis supports.
When watering, avoid watering leaves directly to prevent mildew.
Harvest at 5 cm for pickles but they can also be grown to a bigger size and are just as delicious.
Let grow and slice into salads or even a deliciously traditional cucumber sandwich.
