These cute, fat cucumbers are famed for their sweet flavour and thin skins that do not require peeling. Cucumber Lebanese Beit Alpha grow equally well on the ground or a trellis and each vine is good for around 15 fruits. Eat them in salads, or pick young and pickle. They are the perfect cucumber for Tzatziki sauce.
Cucumbers are best directly sown and they need abundant moisture and rich soil. Some afternoon shade is beneficial in the hottest summer weather. Trellis growing saves space. Harvest frequently to maintain production.
These seeds have been treated with a fungicide, Thiram, as required by the Department of Agriculture and Water.
