Cauliflower Purple Sicily is a colourful Italian heirloom with brilliant purple heads and a mild sweet flavour that is excellent for all normal cauliflower uses.
Originating from southern Italy, Mark Twain called it cabbage with a college degree.
It is less appealing to brassica pests and is naturally disease resistant, making it easier to grow than the white varieties.
A beautiful and nutrient dense vegetable that tastes great fresh from the garden. When cooked they will change to green, however.
They have shallow root systems so avoid damaging the roots when weeding.
