Carrot All Seasons is a large, superbly crunchy and vigorous heirloom from the 1960’s with a triangular, conical shaped root with broad shoulders and rounded tip. This is a sweet variety of carrot with crisp, orange flesh, a reddish core and a tender texture.
These carrots will grow up to about 20cm long. They are easy to grow, have good disease resistance and slow to bolt to seed. Best grown in full sun but they can handle partial-shade in the warmer months. Ensure your soil is loose and sandy, and the carrots are not over-crowded, to grow long, straight produce.
Don’t forget, the green, feathery carrot tops are edible too! Try them out in pesto, chimichurri, or sauté like you would kale or pak choi.
