Beetroot Melbourne Early Boltardy is an Australian heirloom that is slow to bolt in hot conditions, just perfect for the Australian climate.
A sweet deep red, ringless beetroot that is suitable for both full size and baby beets.
The flavour is delicious and the beets are evenly shaped with good colour and texture.
Adaptable to most good garden soils, preferring an open sunny position.
Avoid deformed beets by planting them in loose soil free from stones or rocks.
They also produce sweet, edible leaves that are perfect for salads.
Excellent for planting in both spring and autumn.
